App Description

The app is Project Cheat Codes, available on the Google Play Store. It has just been rebuilt from the ground up. The original app only focused on one publisher, and additional publishers were added from there. This update focused on replacing those publisher pages with console pages. There were various other changes made, which are listed below.

CONSOLE PAGES
– Changing publisher pages to console pages brought several changes.
– Console pages are sorted into groups with their manufacturers, making them easy to find.
– A search bar has been added above each game list.
– A total number of games researched has been added for each console page.
– A status message showing if a game list has been completed or is still incomplete has been added.
– The “Games Without Cheats” and “Upcoming Games” tabs featured on publisher pages have been removed. All games are now shown in a single list for the selected console.
– The information popup when a game has no known cheats has been improved.

GAME PAGES
– The UI of game pages has changed.
– Tabs for different consoles have been removed from game pages. Only cheat codes for the console you originally selected are shown. This change allowed me to remove a lot of code for the application, which improved load times for games with a lot of cheats available and helped reduce the overall size of the app.

THEME OPTIONS AND UI CHANGES
– The names of the themes have been added below each option within the “Theme Options” page.
– Light and dark modes have been added and work based on your phone’s settings.
– The toolbar and notification bar will now change colors based on the theme you have selected.
– The console selection color within the navigation menu has been updated.
– The header found in the navigation menu has been updated.

HOME PAGE
– The disclaimer text has been updated.
– The list of new games added in the “Update Notes” will now be sorted into dropdown lists for their consoles.
– The “About The Project” and “Additional Features” information sections have been removed.
– Changes were made to the UI of the home page.
