App Description

It’s not free for now unfortunately, I’ve had to use google which is expensive, but the aim is to have a free version, unfortunately the server was just too slow to do OCR (text scanning) on premise.

Will need more time and money to make the free work financially, two possible avenues:
1. Js tesseract, I hate it though, super bad results.
2. maybe can do something with C++ and then use webassembly, dont know either langauges though so a lot of time for it.

This is a repeat post, just trying to get feedback on whether this is useful to anyone aside from me!

Also it does images too, just put images & pdfs into a folder, zip it and upload it, it will scan it all.

Project Overview

This web application, developed by Chesko-, is designed for bulk extraction and searching within PDFs and images. It utilizes OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology for text scanning. Currently, the service is not free due to the high costs associated with using Google’s OCR services. The developer is exploring options to create a financially viable free version, including using Js tesseract or C++ with webassembly. The app also supports processing images alongside PDFs, allowing users to upload zipped folders containing both for scanning. The developer is seeking feedback on the utility of the app beyond personal use.
