I’ve needed something like this for a long time, so I finally built it. It’s called Buckets, and it’s all about planning how money flows into and through your accounts.The focus? Seeing your future account balances—whether it’s next month or 10 years out—to help you take action today and make smarter financial decisions.
If you’re like me, you’ve probably cobbled this together in a messy spreadsheet that made you feel like an Excel wizard. But as a 👨🏽💻Builder , I figured, “Why not build it?”
So after a week of building, here’s what Buckets can do:
• Manually set up accounts (assets and liabilites) and their interest rates, if any
• Create recurring cash flows for income, expenses, and savings like monthly pay, bonuses, subscriptions, etc
• The cool part: See any account or your total portfolio balances at any date, so you can plan when you’ll hit goals like paying off debt, saving goals, or enough for retirement
