BeachDates is a local-based app designed to facilitate blind beach dates for singles aged 25-40, aiming to foster IRL relationship building. It features two user roles: Singles looking to get matched and Admins who act as matchmakers using a combination of human and AI analysis. The app includes a comprehensive questionnaire for profile setup, preferences specification for food, drinks, and setup, and feedback collection post-event.
Project Overview
BeachDates is an innovative app aimed at solving the problem of singles aged 25-40 wanting to meet more people in person, facilitated by blind beach dates. Despite the ambitious goal of building 50 MVPs in 50 weeks, this project faced challenges such as feature overcomplication, RLS policies management issues, and email integration problems. The app, while not fully completed, represents a creative approach to fostering real-life connections.
