I came across my sister old teddy bear yesterday, inside I found a voice box and 4 buttons on each limb.
My first thought was to try to find a way to boot a new firmware on the existing board, but it was too time consuming to make a simple PoC.
So I just swapped the core with an ESP32 and use it to communicate with a modified GLaDOS version on my computer.
The result is a very fun teddy bear that you can interact with either by holding his hand or by talking to him.
I have to warn though, he’s very sassy.
