All the “ngmi” talk about AI taking away your job is based on one assumption: that the AI is owned by someone else. That’s the basic problem. Money is still being made, but not by you.
As a marketing person, the AI tidal wave is gonna wash over me first. I already see it.
As luck would have it, the AI revolution came right after the low-code revolution. Lucky for me, and lucky for anyone that wants to ge in front of the trend, and maybe turn their careers into a solid, functioning business.
Anyway, I did the obvious: I built a GPT wrapper. I filled it with the most common marketing tasks. But I spent a ton of time ironing-out all the tone issues, the lack of best-practice knowledge, and I also tried to solve for the realities of a marketing person 1) working for a business that has a known product line, and 2) having a target audience that wants to hear things a certain way.
TLDR, I launched AskSherwood.com – both to help me with my current clients, but eventually to become the tool that they work with directly.
