App Description
When you try some SaaS, do you like to sign up with SSO like Google or GitHub? Or do you prefer to use email & password? I launched my SaaS with only Google OAuth: no email or password. Should I add an email and password sign-in flow or add more features?
Or it’s just a matter of my SaaS itself?
Project Overview
The discussion revolves around the preferences for authentication methods in SaaS applications, specifically focusing on the use of SSO (like Google or GitHub) versus traditional email and password sign-in. The author’s SaaS currently supports only Google OAuth, prompting a debate on whether to expand authentication options. Feedback from users suggests a preference for having both options available, with SSO for convenience and email/password for privacy or using burner emails. Concerns about data privacy with SSO and the ease of implementation with tools like Keycloak and Ory’s suite were also highlighted.
