App Description
Last month, after 7 months of hard work, I officially launched Voice Mate, my AI-powered voicemail app.
I started by building a waiting list, which brought in 500 followers, and leveraged my 3,500 LinkedIn followers to drive interest. Together, those 4,000 contacts have resulted in 25 paying users so far.
The MVP cost me about β¬350 to build, with most of that going to Twilio costs, plus smaller expenses like an Apple developer account and an Android test device. I applied for and received a AWS grant of $1000 worth in credits. Many users are still on the trial phase, so Iβm waiting to see how the unit economics stabilize over time.
Iβm using Mixpanel for analytics and am thrilled to see people actually calling and using the AI. Thatβs already beyond what I expected for this stage.

Project Overview
Voice Mate is an AI-powered voicemail app that has been launched after 7 months of development. The app has successfully attracted 25 paying users from a waiting list of 500 and a LinkedIn following of 3,500. The MVP was built with a budget of β¬350, primarily spent on Twilio, with additional support from an AWS grant. The app is currently in the trial phase for many users, with analytics being managed through Mixpanel. The launch has been met with some skepticism regarding the use of AI, but also with support and advice on user engagement strategies.
