App Description
I’ve launched a waitlist for a closed beta launch, feel free to sign up and it includes some images and a quick overview of the app thus far: www.finchester.money
Was super excited to make it this far, and wanted to share!
I haven’t highlighted all the features of the app on the landing page, as I’m keeping them a suprise and slowly rolling them out during beta for testing.
I will say during some initial outreach, I’ve noticed two cirtical points of feedback:
- LLM usageΒ – Even though itβs optional and opt-in, users worried about AI handling sensitive data.
- Bank connection privacyΒ – People are skeptical about sharing banking data with third parties.
How do you effectly address those? As a seasoned software engineer, I follow the most modern standard of privacy and security, but I get a vibe that sharing a boat load of techinical jargin isn’t the right move.
My other impression is that building trust and growth from a smaller subset until it’s more recognized will add a sense of security to users, and that’s the grind you have to go through.
Project Overview
Finchester is an AI-driven financial assistant budgeting app currently in closed beta. It aims to simplify personal finance management with innovative features, though specifics are being kept under wraps for the beta phase. Initial feedback highlights concerns over AI handling sensitive data and privacy issues related to bank connections. The developer is exploring ways to address these concerns, emphasizing the importance of building trust gradually.
